Booking demand promises high overnight stays in Spain

20.4.18, CH: In recent years, Spain has scored points among tourists as a holiday destination and has set new records when it comes to visitor numbers. Above all the safe situation in the country and the unstable situation in other otherwise popular countries in recent years, such as Turkey or Egypt, have led to holidaymakers increasingly turning to Spain as a top destination.
At the ITB travel fair in Berlin, Spain, as a holiday destination, once again attracted a great deal of interest among visitors to the fair. This could be a first indication that this year will be another successful year for Spanish tourism.
The booking figures speak for themselves – all Spanish regions are currently recording growth. The desire for the Spanish sun is not only great for spontaneous people. Many Germans who own a holiday home in Spain also appreciate the advantages of the Iberian Peninsula. Sun-drenched regions such as the Costa Blanca, which not only offer lively hotspots like Alicante but also more tranquil regions like Altea, are very popular with long-term holidaymakers and people who spend several times a year in their own holiday accommodation in the south. Although the demand for holiday homes in Spain has increased again, there are still interesting properties to be found.
